Specs:
i7 5820k
Asus X99 Deluxe
i7 5820k
GTX 980ti
EVGA G2 PSU
I got a new microphone today that should have zero background noise, but I plugged it in and it still had the exact same noise my old microphone had. So I tried the mic on a different PC which is just a cheap AMD apu office PC and to my surprise there is zero static.
So far I have tried switching wall outlets and unplugging everything but my monitor, keyboard, mouse and microphone and the same static is there.
Could it be something else or is my motherboard defective?
My old microphone is a low end Sony lavalier one, my new mic is the one on the Beyer MMX 300 headset. The sony mic does have some static on the AMD machine, but the Beyerdynamic one is flawless.
Edit:
Here is audio captured from the mic with the issue, as you can see it makes the mic basically unusable.
