Asus X99A USB3.1 goes through post and gets all the way to code b2 and then just stops right there, wont let me bios. Already had it working before i put it in the case, but now out of the case it has the same issue. Tried clearing cmos, no luck. Ideas?

Side note, it does have the Boot Device LED shining during this code appearing

Solution
When giving codes please say what they do because otherwise I and others have to look them up.

Having said that (page 1-27.. of manual) doesn't show an "80" error code.

*The potential GPU issue I mention is with the card itself so switching to a different lane doesn't matter. If you can't test with another card, I would contact Asus Tech Support to see if:

a) it's a graphics card conflict, and
b) what you can do about it (change a BIOS legacy setting?)

**PLEASE CONFIRM THE FOLLOWING**
You had video OUTPUT from the card outside the case THEN it failed?

I think that's what you're saying but I want to be certain. If so, it's not a conflict with the card's vBIOS but the card MAY have suddenly gone defective and now is conflicting...
1) Unfortunately X99 motherboards from all companies seem to have far too many issues.

2) Was BIOS up-to-date?
v3701 (AFAIK)

3) B2 error is:
"Legacy option ROM initizalization"

*I think this may be a conflict with some video card vBIOS.

Did it fail AFTER you installed a video card?

If so, then maybe shut down, REMOVE the video card and startup to confirm it works (using the iGPU so monitor connected to motherboard). If your UEFI/BIOS is not up to date flash that then retry. If it still fails contact ASUS to see if they have suggestions.

There may even be a Legacy BIOS setting that works.

**Not saying it's the GPU but that's what Googling suggests.

No iGPU on X99 motherboards.

switched GPU onto 2nd PCIE lane and flashed latest bios onto board. The board went past the code, landed on 80 and then power cycled. code without GPU is still b2

Other than swap in a different card I don't know what to suggest at this point. Any card should do, perhaps there's one you can even borrow or at worst buy for cheap as long as it's PCIe.

OTHER:
Also, if you did ANYTHING such as add an HDD, DVD drive that differs from WHEN it worked before then unhook that to see if it's the issue.
