ASUS Xonar D2X vs ASUS Xonar Essence STX

Hey guys and girls of Tom's Hardware. I was wondering if you can solve a little problem I have. I am using a ASUS Xonar D2X at the current moment and was wondering if I should change to the Xonar Essence STX. I mainly use my headset which is the Sennheiser PC 350 and they already sound amazing on my D2X. But will it sound even more amazing on a Xonar Essence STX due to it having a headphone amp. I've been only using the D2X for 2 days and they keep amazing me. So the final question is should I return my D2X for a Essence STX or keep my D2X. BTW I have a Logitech Z506 speaker system which don't really benefit from the sound card and will soon upgrade to a better 2.1 speaker system or a better surround sound system. Also recommend me some good 2.1 speakers that aren't above $170. Thanks in advance.

my personal opinion is it wont be worth it, i dont think they are to hard to drive-as much as anything bexayse they are designed to be gamer cans. My STX provides way more power than my ATH M 50's use-main reason i bought it was incase I choose to upgrade to some high end Sennheisers. Only way to know for sure would be to find a STX to test your headphones with.

Thanks for your answer and opinion spartansociety on my situation. At the current moment I am going to my retailer MWave (cause I live in Australia) to see if I can test the STX for myself with my own personal headset. Hopefully I can test this amazing sound card for myself.
