Hi! I built a desktop 3 months ago and i had this Roccat Kave XTD 5.1 analog with real surround. So, recently i bought a Asus Xonar DG 5.1 so i could use the headphones. After adding the sound card to the desktop i installed the driver and all went good, after 3 days i put a song playing and i hear like a interference noise and the sound starts playing like in slow motion, a very deep sound. After that every time i played any type of sound the PC would TOTALLY freeze, couldn't do anything but power it down by the button in the case. I took out the sound card and everything was fine again. Anyone has any idea what the problem might be?
ps: sorry if my English is bad hope u can understand (not native).

Are you sure your BIOS and remaining device drivers are up to date? Is you onboard audio device disabled in BIOS? If you're on Windows 10 then disable the automatic device driver update feature. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Asus Xonar DG drivers?

If the issue cropped up after a mandatory windows update then backup your critical data and perform a system restore prior to a point before the issue. You can try a repair install as well and see if any progress is made.

If nothing works, it'd be a good idea to (if on WIndows 10, recreate your bootable USB installer and) reinstall your OS.
