Hello! I just got my Z170-a and I dont have a DVD thingy. So I need to install all of the drivers and I dont know how, is there like any type of master installer that installs all? Thanks!

You don't need to worry about the bios.
You only need the chipset, audio , Lan and usb. If you using the integrated graphics then you should get the VGA drivers.
You just need the latest version.

Also are you sure that the motherboard will detect the usb stick since there is no usb drivers installed?

Depends on what OS you're installing, if you installing window 10, no you don't need the usb drivers. If you are installing window 7, then you need the usb drivers or at least a modified window 7 ISO with the usb drivers included.

ok thx :p

1) WARRANTY for some Asus motherboards has to be registered to get full support (I had to do it using the included CD for the Z87 Gryphon Sabertooth).

2) As said, usually W10 does install many drivers including:
a) USB3 (see below)
b) Main chipset
c) basic network

Several USB3 drivers exist:
- There is a BETA USB driver related to the Oculus Rift though, so maybe keep an eye on that. Frankly, it's something I'd expect to end up in Microsoft Updates and applied automatically.

- There seems to be a USB3 driver here for Windows 10 as well, and a separate "BOOST" version.
Asmedia USB3.1/3.0 Driver V1.16.29.1 for Windows 10 64bit.(WHQL)(Z170-PRO not support)

Finally, there is a FIRMWARE update for USB3.1 as well.

3) BIOS?
Well since the latest says "stability" and was released about a WEEK AGO I'd go ahead and do that.

4) I recommend using the FAN CONTROL software (probably in the Asus AI Suite) and tweak to the best CPU and/or Case fan setup for best noise/cooling profile.

SUMMARY:
There are many updates listed here.

I suggest applying the bare MINIMUM to ensure system stability, then make a backup IMAGE, then test them one or two at a time.

*Come back to the support page every few months since some of these are fairly new (some are even BETA). You may need to update drivers and the BIOS.

So you telling me not to install the USB drivers, and I should install the newest bios? Correct?
