I'm not really good at computers, but my sister's ASUS Z170-A ram light keeps appearing. Tried switching out the ram and filled all 4 slots (tried also just using 2 or 1), still the same problem. Everything else seems to work correctly and the fans turn on. Could it just be a faulty motherboard?

The RAM: Corsair CMK8GX4M2A2666C16

Solution
Look for CMOS or nvram posted on the main board it will have a jumper ya removes and move to the other side of 3 pins then replace it back to default position.

Ya could try different power supply or try the ram in another computer as well

It could be faulty .but power supply or main board could have probs also.
What I would try first is clear CMOS and pull main board battery and redo setting in bios could just be hanging in boot from improper shutdown or Small power sure.

Thanks, I guess there could be a million "could be" issues though. Everything seems to work fine, its just having trouble with the ram. Pulled the battery, that didn't work. We're not sure how to reset bios when it doesn't show the option on the monitor, just says "No Signal"
