ASUS Z170-a RAM Problem

Hello all!

Ive just built myself a gaming PC with a ASUS Z170-A Motherboard.
Im having a problem with RAM Cards, Ive got 2 x 8GB DDR4 Vengeance cards, When one is inserted to the 4th slot everything is happy, but put a second in any of the other 3 slots the PC starts up for about 30 seconds then trips out.

Can anyone help.

Nope. It cuts out if its in the other 3

Then I suggest removing the CPU and checking the socket. See if any bent pin.

Had a bit of progress. I took the cpu out re-inserted it. Also I read somewhere that it could be that the fan is screwed on too tight. Did all that and it's booting up without cutting out.

However nothing is coming up on screen and the memok! Light is constantly red.

Any ideas?

DO you have the latest BIOS? Might reset CMOS and boot with only the 1 stick again to check

After all that! Replacing the CPU and loosening the screws... Ram card still doesn't work in slot 2 but 3 and 4 work. Cheers guys!!

It was out of date but I updated it a few days ago.
