Asus Z170-PREMIUM VS Rog viii formula

Solution
They are both great gaming motherboards, but they are slightly different in concept.

The Z170 Premium was designed to fit as many features as possible onto one motherboard (as displayed by the huge number of connecting ports above).

The ROG series is almost solely concerned with high-end gaming. You'll have the best OC support from the native software and can expect great overall performance.

As I've already said, both are great boards and will perform well for gaming and engeineering, it just comes down to what you value more: overclocking (the ROG) or connectivity/ expansion (the Premium).
The Premium has this over the Rog:

- 1 more PCIe expansion slot
- A few more USB ports of different varieties
- Better internet (LAN) hardware and 1 additional NIC
- Better internet (wireless) support
- Tunderbolt internal header

In terms of overall performance both are fantastic. Essentially the Z170 Premium simply has a bit more flexibility in terms of expansion slots, internet, and connection ports.

I agree with Luminary although I don't see the benefit in investing that much in a mobo. I personally went with the Asrock Z170 Extreme 7+. Great expandibility, very good OC support (great vrm's), front panel USB 3.1, Triple U2 slots (altough if you use the front panel you take the functinality from one). The only con is it doesn't have built in wifi...

How come that both of the same price ?!!
What do you recommend me to buy ,, i want to play games and Engineering without any troubles and i want a high mobo to do that ?
