Hey Guys

Which Mainboard should I take? Has someone experience with one of these boards?

First I wanted to take the ASUS Mainboard, but I read some ratings that says they have problems with installing Windows 7 on the computer.

I'm going to buy the PC presumably end of this month.

Other Components:

CPU: i5 6600k
CPU-Cooler: Alpenfoehn Brocken 2
RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 2x 8GB DDR4-2133
GPU: ASUS STRIX R9 390 DC2OC
SSD 1: Crucial BX100, 250GB
SSD 2: Patriot Blast, 128GB
HDD: Seagate ST1000DM003, 1TB
PSU: Corsair RM750X
Case: Thermaltake F51 Window

The z170s don't support the EHCI used by Win7 (USB2 spec), there's a discussion of it here:

of these two mobos I'd go with the Asus Pro Gaming, almost got that one myself, picked up the Hero though

I recommend the Gigabyte board. They have high quality boards, and so does ASUS. However, the ASUS board is not in their high tier, while the Gigabyte board has protection on the PCI slots, as well as more heatsinks on it. Out of those two boards I recommend the Gigabyte board. But there are two other boards I recommend: The MSI Z170A Gaming M7, and the ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO, which are both at the same price point as the Gigabyte board.

Thanks for your quick answer :)

[EDIT:] Does the Z170 Chipset support the EHCI by Win8 / Win8.1?
