Building a new system using Corsair Obsidian box with a matching HX1000i PSU.

The mobo is an ROG Strix Z270 hooked up with a 7700k Intel and 32gb ram. I currently have a couple of Nvidia 660ti GPU at the moment, but will upgrade to a couple of Aorus 1080ti Extremes GPUs along with a new 27" Predator monitor.

My problem lies in that my nemesis Windows 10 did a massive upgrade the other night, since then the graphics has gone through murky waters. The screen freezes for about 15 secs then flashes rapidly for 5 secs then goes off completely for another 5 secs. Yes I've upgraded everything from the bios to the video drivers.

I finally plugged the monitor directly into the board and deleted the video drivers. Before all this I did a full format with Killdisk. I'm about to go out and buy my new GPUs and Predator. I'm assuming this problem will go to bed with the new video driver. (Being the latest and all) Am I wrong in this assumption and need to do more digging, or am I OK??

It's quite possible that the new GPU will not be an issue on your motherboard and ofc the new GPU drivers. I am curious though, what's stopping you from reverting to older, more stable drivers? You know you can use DDU and uninstall the drivers and then reinstall with the latest offered by Nvidia and see if the issue is averted.

We will need the rest of your current system's specs though...
