Question Asus Z97-A cannot get into BIOS, otherwise boots fine

I want to make a change in my BIOS and pressing F2 or DEL won't let me in. I pulled the boot drive (Win 10) so there are no bootable devices and it still won't do it. I see the message to press F2 or Del. I pulled the battery on the M/B. I then turned it on, I get a message to press Enter to recover the BIOS settings or press F1 to run setup. Nothing gets me into the bios.

I put the Win 10 SSD back in, it boots fine. Keyboard works and I went and got a wired USB keyboard to see if that would help, same issue. I removed every USB device and I use onboard video and have no cards installed. Still won't let me into the BIOS.

Make sure keyboard is plugged into a USB 2.0 port. It could be the board doesn't respond, when you have it in a 3.0 port.

It responds, the screen changes when I press DEL or F2. When I reset the BIOS it says press any key or F1 for setup. It responds to that too, but the BIOS will not come up.

I also checked, it was already in a USB 2 port.
