Okay, so my PC decided to stop booting when I went to turn it on. No video output at all. The DRAM_LED light is on, and I know my memory isn't the problem. I have tried every single combination of the RAM slots and pressed MemOK after they didn't work the first time. And, when I put the RAM into another PC, it boots fine. I have troubleshooted the crap out of this thing. I have tried without anything but a CPU with stock intel cooler and RAM in and it, tried every community give solution like loosening screws, reseating all of the compnents, and probably more I don't remember. I have had this PC working since early 2015, and it just stopped working. I don't have another LGA 1150 board that I can test that it's actually my CPU or the motherboard dying. All I know is that the problem does not lay within the RAM. As an added note, I don't think it's my PSU either. Like the rest of these components I bought them new, and an 850w is extremely overkill for my system, and its from Corsair so its not dodgy.

Well only three things could be the issue with a ram light on....the ram...the cpu(the mem controller is in it).....the motherboard

if the ram works in another system your now down to two items... the cpu or the motherboard

well and by your thing you have tryied reseating your cpu and just as a guess because you seem knowledgeable you have tried to reset the cmos correct?

only thing would be to test the test with a different cpu or to put ur cpu into another system but you cant do it. so your kinda down to a 50/50 guess

unless your been running a heavy overclock my 1st choice would be motherboard.

really this is more of just ramblings from me but hope it provides some insight

wow i feel stupid now

I haven't tried clearing CMOS, but I took the battery out but I can't test again till i finish up this schoolwork im procrastinating because I'm using the RAM in it.

True.

Not necessarily true.
Corsair is a sticker company, all they make are stickers. They put their stickers on a product and sell it to you.
Specifically which Corsair 850W PSU do you have? Though I doubt it's the problem here, as it's most likely the motherboard.

An 850W unit that's only bronze rated is not really a good unit. 850W units should at least be gold rated, if not platinum.

CX850M, Also, CMOS reset didn't fix.

What color is the label on it? Green?

Cause the green label ones, are a bit more problematic:

It's green, sadly.

Yeah, I've had no problems with it, and my brother who has a cx750m green which is supposedly worse has also had none.
