SO when I connect my HDMI cable to my PC it keeps saying no signal! I am getting really irritated! I have tried everything, I'm pretty much down to my CPU and RAM. So I had a Asrock z97m anniversary about 4 months ago working perfectly with my i7-4790k and 8GBx1 of ram then one day it didn't display on the screen, so I RMA'D my motherboard and I got a new one and I still get no signal, so I thought they gave me a faulty motherboard, so I got a BRAND NEW Asus Z97-A motherboard. But then it didn't work, I thought it was my CPU but it's warm when it starts up. So I feel like I have dead ram. Please help!

So far I replaced my Motherboard, PSU, and soon I might replace my ram.

THINGS I'VE TRIED:
Resetting the CMOS
New PSU
New Motherboard
Made sure that the 8PIN for the CPU is correctly on.

Also how do I check my BIOS VERSION?
What could be causing it? It might be my processor I had Intel HD 4600, there are no bent pins! I have no other solution so I might RMA my CPU.

So the 4790k is on this new Z97-A now right?

Look at the sticker at the top of the ASUS. What are the last 4 numbers on it??? This is the BIOS thats on it

It should be 1008 or higher for it to support that CPU according to the ASUS site

Core i7-4790K (4.0Ghz, 4C, HT, L3:8M, HD Graphic, 88W, rev.C0) ALL 1008

If your talking about that barcode that last 4 didgits are 0504

Not this one unless it supports BIOS flashback. This mobo doesnt support it

0504 isnt listed on the site, and it's not 1008 or higher. So that maybe the prob

Do you know anyone with a lower spec CPU?? If your system doesnt turn on at all, this maybe the reason

My PC does turn on, just the monitor says no signal. Now I don't think this is a motherboard issue, I feel like it's my ram because I had a Asrock z97m anniversary everything worked perfectly on my pc then one day it didn't so I RMA'D it and got a new motherboard. So I pretty sure that RAM is the issue for me because 1. The cpu warms up, and the mobo warms up, but the ram doesn't do anything at all. I'm getting new ram tomorrow since I wasted so much money trying to fix my comp.

Well if the new ram doesnt work, then if its got 0504 on it now, I doubt it'll run unless you update the BIOS to 1008.

And the only way youre going to do this is either install a CPU it does support flash the BIOS then put this one back in. Or take it to a shop and ask them to flash it with a lower spec CPU

Then put your one back in

Well if it doesn't work I'll try out my previous motherboard! Thanks for the help, if the ram works then I'll pick the solution tomorrow.
