What's it like? can't really find much info on the Z97 range of boards.

Also what is the Asus Maximus VII Ranger like for Overclocking?

If the Z97-K is no good, What's the cheapest OVerclocking Z97 Chipset money can buy from Gigabyte or Asus? and would the VII Ranger be worth £30 more? (I say £30 because I'm assuming an overclocking Mobo may cost around £100)

Did you mean the Z97-A?

Does this mean the Z97-K isn't that good? I thought i'd ask because Scan actually sell an voeclocked bundle of a CPU Cooler (Arctoic cooling I think) Asus Z97-K + a Pentium CPU (I didn't even know they came unlocked...)

My bad, yes meant Z97, (my fingers aren't obeying 😉 ) The Z97-K no doubt will be a good mobo, but if planning to OC, I look to OC as far as the CPU can go and you don't see that happening often on an entry board mobo. The A model was my entry level for Z87 and believe it will be for the Z97s also, but only time will tell, I'm just getting started with the Z97s as the K model DC refresh CPU's are coming due for release on the 25th

Idk man, you tell me if this is a good choice. OCing isn't the biggest deal to me and neither is crossfire but the fact that the Z97-K does neither kinda makes it a let down. It's currently £100 on Scan.co.uk however they're throwing in a free Asus Echelon Headset which is about £50 on amazon.co.uk. And I need a headset too....Which kinda makes it worth it.

Yeah my bad, I should have specified. I've heard ROG board can take an i5 4670K (Z87 ones) up to about 5Ghz with the right Cooler? Is this true?

what sort of OC would we be looking at on an i5 4670K with the Z97-K then?
