ASUS Z97 Pro Gamer No display

First build and I just wanted to get an early look at it before the rest of the parts come in. Start it up all fans are running fine and the Q LED lights go as follows: CPU flashes once then never lights up, SP is solid and so is DRAM LED. I tried HDMI and VGA and get no signal on the display. I have checked all the cables, moved the RAM around, checked for bent pins and re-seated the CPU. No clue what is going on anymore, troubleshooting steps is appreciated

Try testing the board outside the case, for ruling out a short. If still the same, try borrowing a RAM module and see if still solid DRAM led.

So I took the board out of the case and I am still getting the same issue. I noticed when I turned the PC on the CPU LED lights up and then turns off simultaneously the DRAM LED light comes on and becomes a solid light

Memory, motherboard or CPU. Try testing different RAMs, if possible.

I tried different RAMs and they caused the speaker on the moterboard to go off but they are old so they could be incompatible or busted. Is there anyway to test to see if the motherboard or CPU is bad? I also want to know if using a 22in 720 Sharp TV could be an issue as well.

No.
Is there a case speaker http://images17.newegg.com/is/image/newegg/12-201-032-TS?$S300W$ connected to the motherboard?
If yes, try starting the board with only CPU and CPU fan installed. See if the CPU fan does spin and if any beeps.

well after taking it out of the case and testing it with a new monitor it was finally able to work. I am now working on installing it back in the case and hopefuly there will be no shorts

Make sure the TV is set to the correct video input, i.e. it's input source is HDMI1, HDMI2, VGA etc. Have seen a number of times the TV was set for cable or Antenna input (TV mode)
