Hi,
I've had my Z97I-PLUS custom build PC for about 3 years been working fine; last year it switched itself off and shows similar symptoms...Pressed Power button On, fan spins for a second and then stops, PC does not boot. So last year I removed the CPU cleaned up and applied new thermal paste and reset CPU - this worked so I just put it down to must have been over heating and thermal paste was wearing out.
Last week (a year later approx.) I went to access the PC and it was already powered off, tried to power on but got stuck in the same loop "Pressed Power button On, fan spins for a second and then stops, PC does not boot." So I decided to do what I did last year which was clean the CPU, thermal paste and then reset CPU with new paste - this time it did not work, PC would not boot and is stuck on "Pressed Power button On, fan spins for a second and then stops, PC does not boot."
SPEC:
MB: Z97I-PLUS
CPU: Intel i5 CPU
Memory: Corsair 6GB (single stick)
HDD: 1 TB Samsung SSD
Removed Ram alternated sockets made no difference still the same issue, any ideas anyone ?
