Asus Z97P and Samsung M2 drive?

Will the M2 socket on an Asus Z97P board allow the Samsung XP941 M2 drive to run at full speed?

Yes , the Samsung XP941 will run at full speed on your motherboard!
This motherboard will allow speeds for M.2 drives up to 10 Gb\s.

But I am still confused.
Someone on this forum (Mffinn), posted the following:

The read speed will be up there still, even though will be maybe a bit lower, you won't feel the difference.

No. it doesn't that motherboard only give 2 pcie lane for the m.2 slot, the XP941 use 4 lane.
