Hi everyone,
I'm looking at buying a new ultrabook and I've narrowed my selection to these 2:
Asus UX303LN at 1350$
Processor Intel Core i7-4510U
Standard Memory 8GB
Hard Drive 256GB SSD
Display Size 13.3"
Display Technology QHD+ (3200x1800)
Touch Screen Yes
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 840M with 2GB DDR3
2015 Dell XPS 13 at 1500$
Processor Intel Core i5-5200U
Standard Memory 8GB
Hard Drive 128GB SSD
Display Size 13.3"
Display Technology UltraSharp QHD+ (3200x1800)
Touch Screen Yes
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 5500
My usage is mostly multimedia consumption, internet browsing, text editing, so basically general usage and the laptop will only be use at home so portability is not my biggest concern. Also I need a Windows laptop so the MacBook are off my list.
I was also looking at the Samsung Ativ book 9 plus but it seems to be almost impossible to buy it here in Canada. I've read all reviews on the new Dell and it seems to be a well designed machine but is it worth the extra money over the Asus? Also, I've had reliability issues with my last Asus (screen and back panel kept separating) but this machine seems to be a lot more sturdy than my current Asus (U46E), is that true?
Any thought or advice on which laptop is the nest choice based on my usage? Any other choice that I should also consider ?
Thanks all for you reply!
Cheers !
