So here's the thing
I upgraded from 8th to 12th gen, the latter being a kit based on Gigabyte z790 S Wifi ddr4 + i5 12400, i fresh installed a somewhat old windows 10 (21H2) and everything ran perfect, i manually installed mb drivers, latest NV driver (i have rather old gpu EVGA GTX 1060 6gb SSC), and was runnning smoothily and then...
...Windows Update happened
Upon required reboot the board POST beeped 5 times, didnt show BIOS splashscreen, but it did however start windows normally. I turned the pc off and carefully went for unpluggin and pluggin RAMs, GPU, drives and other peripherals, turned out it the beeps only happen when i plug the gpu (whithout the gpu it runs as expected), so i booted in save mode and clean uninstalled the nv driver with DDU and upon pluggin the gpu again same 5 beeps POST happened.
My issue with this is, i dont think the gpu is faulty or the cpu (as 5 beeps POST in Gigabyte boards might indicate cpu problems) , nor other components like RAM or drives(cuz it runs well on them), my take it might be related to windows update made the mobo conflict with the gpu somehow, and that's what i wanna try to find out without having to CMOS reset or update BIOS, or should i better roll back updates or clean install a more recent windows like W11 24H2?
