News Asus's new BTF GPUs can now be used in standard systems courtesy of a detachable 1000W power connector — New 5090 and RTX 5070 Ti models have a dua...

Since 2023 ASUS has basically defied ALL worldwide warranty laws, telling people "sue us if you're not happy". this applies to motherboards, CPUs and GPU cards.

If they aren't willing to obey the basic warranty LAWS of the US and EU etc, can you imagine how little they care if their new 1000w system burns your house to the ground and people die?

I'm not a fan of Asus warranty, but technically these connectors should be significantly more robust than 12VHPR. By how much exactly, IDK. Hopefully an electrical expert can give us some insight.

Any word on other companies BTF GPUs? At Computex Sapphire showed an RX7090XT with BTF. Are they close to releasing and shipping those? It would be interesting if ASUS reserved BTF on Nvidia cards for themselves and licensed BTF on AMD cards to other companies. I'm firmly committed to BTF and my motherboard will be delivered on Wednesday so I'm hoping to finish my build with a BTF GPU as soon as possible.
