I'd really like to see if the extra RAM helps performance at larger resolutions and whatnot. To date, I've never seen more RAM really offer a performance benefit unfortunately, it's almost as if the cards BIOSes aren't even remotely programmed to make use of it.

I think it has more to do with the game. Its designed to only make use of 256MB video ram. Whats the point of having 4 times more? Maybe if you use custom up-resed textures you can try and force the difference.

Oblivion has some very big retextures, but even they work fine with 512mb... maybe if I use AA8 or something... In anyway these are great for gf, because you the have enough power for higher ress...
