Hello, I own a Hp pavilion p6710f and it has an Amd Athlon 64 II x4 640 processor with stock fan/heatsink. I was looking in CPUID hardware monitor and it says it's gettin a max of 106.40 watts, in the specs for the processor it says it uses a max of 95 watts. At idle it's usualy around 16-32C and a high of 41-58C under load, Is this a problem?

Heres my computer

This is probably the wrong section to be asking this but I was also wondering if I could swap the guts of that computer into a new case?

Short answer...no. Those are celsius temps and room temp is 20 degrees celsius. That means you CPU is 38 degrees above room temp and most CPUs are rated for 70C. Idling at 32C is pretty good. It may fluctuate with season though.

I got the computer when the weather was kinda cold and It usualy was 17C idle, now with the 73F weather it usualy idles at 31C. But what about the max wattage draw? Should this CPU be taking 106.40w?

i dont think its anything to actually worry about. Some times HWmonitor would also show incorrect voltages at the 12v rails so i think it should also apply to your problem of showing incorrect power for cpu.If your worried you could try to stress test the cpu to make sure everything is in working order.
