Hello there :)
Gonna build a new pc (mostly for gaming), problem is the choices are limited for the video cards "don't want to go in discussion about it". & i can't decide. 1 more problem is the costumer support in my country is very bad so i can't replace the card (unless it's dead). So here are the 2 models that are available:
1st: MSI R7870-2GD5T/OC
2nd: ASUS HD7870-DC2-2GD5-V2

I'm a big fan of MSI, but for some reason this card got some bad review about heating problems (noise from the fan as well but i don't mind that at all).

I don't like the Asus much BUT the reviews said that it had no heating problem, no noise from fan but there is problem with the picture (blur, flickers...etc).

The Gigabyte and Sapphire have very bad reputation in here, guess our shops buy the worst items from them lol.

Thanks a lot in advance for your time & help.
Please excuse my English, i'm not a native speaker.

Here is the build that i'm going for:

CPU: Intel Core i7 3770K
RAM: 2x CORSAIR Vengeance CML4GX3M1X1600C7 DDR3- 4GB, 1600 (timing: 7-8-8-24)
Mother Board: MSI Z77A-G45
PSU: OCZ ModXStream Pro 650wt

try to buy the XT version that comes with the TAHITI GPU, the other models came with so many failures with some faultys capacitators and transistors. Dont buy the regular models!

I'd go with the Asus, I've had a very bad experience with my MSI R7870 HAWK. I'm on my third one in less than a year as they just keep failing. The third one I got ran very hot as well, so I had to reapply the thermal paste to get the temps down to an acceptable level. Frankly, I'd take any brand aside from MSI. As said above, try looking for the XT or LE version if you want a little more performance.

Thank you so much for the reply.
Could you please explain about the XT & TAHITI (i have no idea what you are talking about) & i would really appreciate if you could provide a full name & a link for the cards you are talking about.
Thanks again :)

Thank you so much for the reply. Sorry for you & your card, can't imagine the pain lol (if you were here they wouldn't let you replace it lol, you'll have to buy a new one on your own)
I'll keep that in mind for sure... start to lean toward the Asus more (even that the MSI have higher GPU clock).

sure bro i just dont want u to fail in the same hole i did. 7% of the regular 7870 on the market come with faulty capacitators and transistors. I bought an ASUS one and it failed on me, i cant get a replacement cause i live outside USA. This cards were made into the pitcairn GPU (not sure if i spelled it right) and now they released a better version, that also performs better based on the TAHITI GPU.

Wish u a happy and problems free purchase!
