A tiny minority of users so insignificantly small that they're also being ignored by the open source linux community?

These drivers added lag to Bad Company 2. My Vid card setup is:
5970 + 5870

Input lag.. very odd. I had to revert back to 10.7 (without the A). Also if I enable AA in Bad Company 2 (via the control panel) I see a bunch of black squares popping up all over the place (I suppose this games Crossfile profile uses Tile Based Rendering).

Woah Betsy!...put your mud boots on...the sh*t is getting deep to walk through in here!!!!

What about stability? There are countless threads on this forum regarding the problems caused by 10.5 through 10.7, and many people are still using 10.4 for stability reasons.

Shame on Blizzard for being too lazy to implement it themselves.
Releasing a 3d PC game without AA support... only console ports should get away with that.

AMD, I can't update Catalyst drivers for Mobility HD 5650 switchable with Intel gfx. Please update Catalyst driver to support switchable graphics!!!

I agree with that..Its the developer's job to implement support for the existing cards and drivers.

Can't say I can even add AA, Starcraft kinda lags a bit at 3240x1920 even with 5870s in X-Fire. Maybe drop the res and apply AA...It just seems odd starcraft would lag like that.

these new drivers caused the menu to crawl and started to lead to that over-heating issue. i have a 5970 and everything was fine with 10.7 (except jaggies) and temps were no more than 78 after playing a few hours.

with 10.7a, the main menu was unresponsive (the star streaks barely moved) and after 10 min my card temp hit 87. once i added that frame rate cap and set catalyst ai to off (which i think causes my card to only use one gpu), things got better. i still had to turn aa down to only 4x (keep it at 16x for batman and dirt2) to get playable frames. this only problem is that aa only fixed the jaggies in game, but not during all the between mission scenes where the jaggies are really noticable (catena, bridge, etc). i think i'm going back to plain 10.7 tonight.

I tried this out early on when I heard about them and they do a nice job on my 4770 X-fire setup. However I've since turned it off since I don't see the need for it myself. If there's one great thing about having slight nearsightedness, it's that my eyes automatically give me AA with my glasses off!

It seems to work well for me, though it gives strange flickering artifacts on Raynor's hair during cutscenes. Having it above 4x with 4x sampling seemed to introduce lag though. I'm using a 5770 on a 1680x1050 monitor.

yeah, good joob AMD< they added support for AA in 10.7a drivers, but in the actual release of Catalyst 10.7 they removed it...
