Can someone recommend me a graphic card that's good in: money/overclock ability/performance?

Your temps are fine. If you want to spend something to get it a little cooler, add a fan to the side of your case blowing on top of the card. I would not do that. Instead, I would sell your 4870; they seem to be going for a premium, probably because people want to crossfire them.

Here is about the best recommendation for a reasonably priced, overclockable/unlockable/high performance card: HIS H695F2G2M Radeon HD 6950 2GB for $243 including shipping, after rebate.

Now, make sure you buy a 2 GB version of this board, because you can unlock them to a 6970: TechPowerUp's AMD Radeon HD 6950 to HD 6970 Mod

I was also thinking about the 6950 2gb bios flashing to 6970.
Could always return back to a nearby Frys electronics just in case the unlock didn't go as planned.

About how much does a 4870 1GB go for these days? I should hit up craigslist.

I agree that site does look suspicious, but there is something going on here. There were several sites that were selling the 4870, and although many did not have stock, $300 was about the median price for new. Looked on ebay, and this seems about average for used/refurbished: VisionTek 900244 ATI Radeon HD 4870 Video Card - PCI for $203

I was expecting prices right around what you are suggesting. Is there a difference between a PC version and a Mac version, maybe? Any idea what I am missing?

VisionTek always sell stuff insane high though there products are just as good as anybody elses. I'm surprised BFG Tech ran out of business before them.

MAC version might be more expensive i assume.
