Hi,

I have an abit IL9 pro v1.0 motherboard wich support ati Radeon in crossfire. I want to build a retro gaming PC but I don't know wich gpu for very cheap like 15$ each should I get on eBay and that can run crossfire.
And run like directx 9 minimum (around 200(6,7,8))
Thanks

ah makes sense however if your playing older games don't bother with Xfire first there was a lot of driver issues in the past that have been fixed with newer cards but I don't believe AMD added those fixes to older ATI cards but if you really want to try I think you can get X1900xt they run about $20ish on ebay. Though I think the best bet is just to use a signal card less worries about finding old drivers. You can still pick up a single X1900Xt or even a cheap GTX 460 for around $40 on ebay and call it a day.
Direct x 9 released in 2002 with 9c coming out in 2004.
a Radeon HD 2000 series would work. or an x1000.

PCI Express x16
1 x PCI Express x16
1 x PCI Express x16 (PCI-E x4 bandwith)

Your motherboard has 2 PCI E slots, not AGP. So it really isn't that retro. I'd think that to be about 2007. Putting you in Radeon HD 3000 territory.

I'm assuming you mean you want to build a PC to play retro games (though 2006-2008 not sure I would call reto yet) personally I would just build a newer PC based off of skylake using a G4400 cpu and then run older games off the igpu.

Thanks for your reply.
I already have a gaming PC with 16 gb of ram, amd a8-7650k and gtx 950. Its because I want to have an older PC to go to my dad home with a Pentium d 960 and 4 gb of ram. I already have a gpu (ati x1550) but doesn't support crossfire🙁
