Hey guys,

It's been a year since I have really looked into my computer and I need to upgrade my Video card! When I last was looking at video cards, nvidia was on top. I am not sure how the game has changed...

Currently I have an i7, msi5850 OC, 6gb Ram, 850 antec truepower supply.

I am looking to run 3 monitors, and maybe play some BF3 here and there! I do some editing in the Adobe suite.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=-1&IsNodeId=1&Description=nividia%20680&bop=And&CompareItemList=-1|14-500-238^14-500-238-TS%2C14-130-768^14-130-768-TS%2C14-127-671^14-127-671-TS%2C14-133-469^14-133-469-TS

This is the compare list (everything looks exactly the same to me), budget is $500!

Thanks in advance!

Price wasn't really an issue. Just a guideline! I am going multiple screens so this 4GB vram will be great. I will probably SLI, another reason why I got this card is I hate ATI/AMD drivers... Also, I wanted something COOL this is only 1 of two VC that has duual fans! Looks beastly and quiet! Will update once its installed!

I'm with you on that one, they are just the worst aren't they?

GTX 660 192bit = 144Gb/s memory Bandwidth
GTX 560 256bit = 124Gb/s memory Bandwidth

I fail to subscribe to the fallacious propaganda being spewed by many ignorant people that have not done the research about GDDR memory bandwidth.

This^ 660ti 192bit... lol.. im pretty sure the gtx 580 is 384bit isnt it? i think the 570 is too im not sure

I don't think so, the 660ti sli is underrated :

"As it is, two GALAXY GTX 660 Ti's together will cost $640 and that buys you a gameplay experience way superior to a highly clocked GTX 680, and competes neck-to-neck with Radeon HD 7950 CrossFireX in framerate and surpasses it in overall gameplay smoothness."

I rather take two 660 ti over two 7950...

haha 192bit on a $300+ card just makes me laugh

The extra GB won't make a difference, the same for the 670 4GB.
But the op already decided on what card, a 680 gtx for sli, just pointing out two 660 ti sli is a good option, it's not as bad as people make it seem to be, even for triple monitor setups.

yea at that price point you can get 7950 crossfire which for triple mointors i would take it over the 660ti in a heart beat. the 660ti is not bad just overpriced imo.

bigmack wanna give me your 7970s? ill give you $40 for both good deal? 😛 haha

well, best vs. best... the 7990 has a 384-bit x2 memory interface, while the GTX 690 has 256-bit x2, and the 7990 has 4096 (2048 x2) cores, while the GTX 690 has 3072 (1536 x2) cores... and to top this off, ati has released new drivers, and from what i've heard, they are pretty good. But in the end its your decision.
