ATI X300 Drivers For Windows 10

Just upgraded a media server to windows 10, it had a OLD X300 graphics card that works fine, however for the life of me I cant get it to install.

Have googled this but none of the solutions seem to work (Ive tried to add legacy hardware, manually install VISTA drivers to name but a few solutions)

I would prefer to keep this card as it is very low power and its for the server so don't need fancy graphics just the basics.

I have installed a Bigger card but am unhappy with this solution as the card takes up too much space(over laps a PCI-e slot that I need to use really)

Specific driver for win 10? There is none. Even the much newer 4k series are not officially supported by AMD in win 8.1 let alone win 10. I'm afraid your only option probably using MS basic display driver for it.

I did get the card to work with windows 8.1 by messing around with legacy hardware, it seems I cant do this with windows 10... Just wondering if there is a fix of sorts as I am sure there are a few people with the same card out there....

Even if there is somekind of hack probably we need to wait for a bit since win10 itself is quite new

well the legacy hardware worked for my old laptop, (ati x1600) first check that your laptop is compatible by going into internet explorer (not edge) and typing catalog.update.microsoft.com into the address bar and then type in the search your GPU, if there is a windows 7 driver then your inluck
add it to your cart and unzip it (7z) to a folder, and then right click on the desktop click display settings, then advanced display settings, Display adapter settings and then click properties, update the driver you downloaded from there

After trying several different drivers, I was able to get a dell D610 to work with a vista 32 bit x300 driver that was posted on Dell's website Couldn't get it to work with the legacy vista 32 bit version posted on the AMD site, I believe version 10.2. Hope this helps. Even though the driver is loaded, in my case I still can't adjust the resolution, still greyed out, but at least graphics performance has improved considerably over the basic adapter driver.
