Okay I ran a simple test yesterday and I believe it confirmed where the problem was coming from.

I have been trying to get rid of Atikmdag error by doing all kinds of things, fresh windows 7 installs, ram tests, disabling UAC, trying different driver sets, installing just the display driver and no CCC, adjusting gpu/memory clock speeds, disabling flash 10.1 hardware acceleration etc. All of that still resulted in the error.

Yesterday however, I simply decided to remove my ATI drivers and left the computer on with tons of things running. I woke up this morning and it's still running. Normally with drivers installed my system would go down within the hour. I'm going to leave my system on all day and see if it still works by the time I get back home.

I have a hunch it will still work.

Problem now is without any drivers I cannot game. What can I do?

64 bit. I installed 10.4, 10.5 and 10.6 with CCC and without - both caused crashes.

Today I ran the system on with a bunch of aps thought to cause the problem, or have in the past (flash browsers, media player, etc) and now after 10 hours it's still working.

The system is fine without drivers. The official win7 64 bit drivers cause crashes. This confirms it.

I can't seem to get any to run stable though. What can be done at this point?

It does a bit of both. First it will do "has stopped responding and has recovered" and maybe 1/6 times it will BSOD. I disabled TDR and now it just BSOD's.

It does not do this with no drivers installed. Is this a sign of faulty drivers or could it still be the card that is defective?
