I just bought a new headset and when I plug it in the 3.5mm audio jack it is not being detected. I have VIA audio drivers. I have also tried with a pair of working headphones and it did not detect those either. According to the device manager the VIA drivers are up to date. I have no clue what to do anymore, please help

Solution
I would suggest its a driver conflict/issue then.
If the rear worked but front didnt it would have been hdaudio cable.
Whats the exact motherboard model and or soundcard, if using one?

I actually just got it working! You said driver conflict and I remembered I installed realtek drivers awhile back because I thought that was what I had. Never noticed because I had a USB headset before. THANK YOU SO MUCH 😀
