Question Monitor not recognizing HDMI cable.

Hi,
Very new to all this, so if I've missed something simple please let me know.

I was on my PC, when it suddenly shut down, it then attempted to restart a couple of times, before managing to restart on the 3rd of 4th attempt.

However after it restarted my monitor wasn't on. It said no signal received from the HDMI cable which I use to connect the PC to the monitor.

I've tried different HDMI leads, and a VGA cable, non of which work. I've hooked the monitor up to a different PC and the monitor works fine there.

The couple of pages I've looked at for help all say, to update the graphics card, which I don't know how to do as I can't see the screen.

Unfortunately once again I have no idea, I can't see the screen to see it, I could maybe go check the make of the computer to see what it is.

This is not a HDMI or video cable issue. Sounds like a possible power issue.

As requested, we need to know what we are working with here to diagnose.

Ok,

I have no idea how to find out the system specs at the moment. I'll see if I can go back and find a receipt or where I got it from online and see if its listed there.

do you need to know the ram and memory?

If I need to find the other information, it's probably a case of leaving it and looking to buy and replace.

Not on inside. On back panel of PC.

I've tried both of the HDMI ports, and the VGA port, that I can see on the outside of the case

are you sure it did turn on?
