So I purchased a custom gaming computer awhile ago as I needed something with high performance for audio use. I do a lot of producing in ableton and decided it was time to move away from the laptop for audio mixing.

The computer has a Evga X58 132-BL-E758 and is running windows 10.

So, I hooked up my studio monitors along with my UX1 audio interface and had troubles with the audio skipping, cracking and popping. At the time, I thought it was my interface as it was rather old, so I replaced it with a Scarlett 2i2 to find the exact same problems occuring at the point I kinda figured it was the motherboard acting up. After many trial and errors or searching for solutions online I finally bring myself here to these forums trying to find a solution.

I have tried...
- disabling enhancements
- updating interface drivers
- updating network drivers
- updating chipset drivers
- plugging usb devices directly into the motherboard
- adjusting the latency & buffer through asio4all & the packaged latency adjuster.
- adjusting power of pc to high performance

The popping still continues even through using headphones directly in to the computer..
I've used an application called latency mon which narrowed the problem down to the bios needing to be updated and the power needing to be adjusted in the settings.

So, I burned the iso to a disc and set the primary boot to cd and once I get to the flash update screen the keyboard wont type allowing me to click enter to actually update the flash. The keyboard works normally in every other situation including bios but I cant seem to get it to work on this flash screen... ( I'll attach pictures of the screen later)

Anyways, if anyone has a clue on how to help me I would greatly appreciate it. Its a real bummer to buy a new pc and to face these issues...

Please help!
