Do you own a gaming laptop? Such as Lenovo, Acer Aspire, ASUS ROG and so on? (depends on the model of course).
I recently discovered that without headphones my laptop actually makes sharper and beautiful sound/audio at 56% volume levels and higher. I always used to set it below 40% to save some power and avoid sound hardware issues before, but now I will begin to use my laptop within 56% it is sounding so good, it is deep plus sharp at the same time. I tested this on Star Wars: The Old Republic computer game.
So If you have a somekind gaming laptop close to these brands or having speakers on laptop that is somewhat visible, test it and see if its works for you too. No settings window needed to config this, don't have any 3d sound or anything like that. Default sound playback thing is 48Hz in case if your wondering.
I just wanted to mention this because I was missing such quality increase in this specific game. I will now try this in other games as well, try to not go beyond 85% level though.
Good days
