I recently just finished my new PC. I decided to upgrade the audio from my old Logitech Z906 system to an A/V receiver and speakers and sub.

I bought an Integra DTR-40.4 7.2-Ch x 110 Watts THX Networking A/V Receiver
I have the new Creative Sound BlasterX AE-5 Pure Edition
Zotac 1080 Ti GPU
TaiChi Ultimate z390 MB
Intel i9 9900k

I have my monitor connected through display port
How I connected the pc to the receiver is:

HDMI from MB to pc labeled plug on receiver (I have also tried all HDMI ports)
Optical cable from sound card to game optical port on receiver
I get nothing.
On the receiver display I get no signal detected when using any HDMI port.

I did check the device manager and I have Nvidia HD audio and Creative under the Sound tab

Thank you

Solution
The HDMI on board does not work when graphics card installed. There might be a setting in BIOS to enable the on board too. Check the board's manual.

Yes I kind of works but I have no control over settings. What I mean is I launch the Creative software and cannot use any of the settings, set up features nothing.
I did get it to work via HDMI but used the GPU HDMI port.
I do find it strange that I can not use the MB HDMI port for audio. I have installed RealTek drivers but they do not show up in the device manager.
I would like to find a way to configure/adjust settings on screen somehow.
