Hi, recently I went to use my PC and it had no audio. Upon further investigation in device manager specifically Sound, Game, And Videos Controllers the Realtek HD Audio option I previously used was gone. I tried downloading the drivers for my motherboard and tried downloading them off the website nothing worked. I then saw something about adding legacy hardware and I used it to try and add the option of Realtek HD Audio but when I tried it crashed my system(RTKVHD64.sys - SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED). Anyone know why and how to fix my audio? Thanks!

Update your post to include full system specs and OS information.

In Device Manager > View ensure that "Show hidden devices" is selected.

Look in Reliability History/Monitor for any audio related error codes, warnings, or informational events.

Run the built in Windows Audio troubleshooters. The troubleshooters may find and fix something.

Run "dism" and "sfc /scannow".

It said that it fixed something but the problem is still there. I also tried uninstalling Realtek HD Audio from device manager(it was hidden) and reinstalling it again but now its not even shown in device manager, not even in hidden devices, only in Programs and features there is Realtek Audio Driver. Would reinstalling Windows be able to fix this problem?
