Audio problem with smart tv

I have a tv, to which i connect my pc to via an hdmi cable. And there's no audio through that cable. I have found some ways to fix this. The first method is to power down the tv completely, then turn it back on, the second is to turn the tv on after the pc has finished booting, which is no different from restarting the tv. Every time i use these methods to get audio through to the tv, it stops working after i restart the PC without turning off the TV. Is this how TVs are supposed to act, or is this a faulty TV, i have found that changing the cable doesn't help, so it can't be the cable, and it's not the video card because connecting to a monitor works just fine. I'd appreciate any help as restarting the TV every time i want to use it as a monitor really inconvenient. Thanks!!!!

Have you tried just going into the audio control panel on the PC and setting the output to HDMI? Or is it already set to HDMI output when you get no audio?

No i choose my audio device in the sounds menu, you know, on the right side of the task bar, it seems to work flawlessly with everything connected to my pc, even the monitor connected to the displayport. The sounds menu actually showing that there are audio going into the tv and is playing, it's just that there's no actual sound coming off of it.

TV - If you can't list the model number, other than "smart", I doubt you'll find any help for that problem.

It's the TCL 32S62. I doubt anyone know of this model because it's a cheap chinese tv that sold in vietnam. But if you're able to help from that then thanks!!!
