Hey, I am using AudioCatalyst 2.0 to rip and encode my MP3s. While the program used to work great, all of a sudden it will not rip songs at more than 1x (i have a 40x ide drive). I think it may have been the new Via 4-in-1 4.29s i installed because my cd burning runs out of buffer as well when it used to never do this. Does my guess sound accurate or may ther be some other problem.

This used to happen to me too. I just uninstalled the program, then installed it again. It always work for me

PS, make sure you delete the program directory after uninstalling it

cool thanks, i thought the same thing but didnt want to go through all the trouble of redownloading it. ill try it out.

anyways...why don't u try creative playcenter 2 out? It is free if you have a creative soundcard I think. I find it rips faster than audiocatylast, and the quality is about the same. Good luck
