Auto-Detect waiting time too long!

I have recently replaced my HDD 'C:' drive with an SSD on my Win 7 PC. Since I want to continue using the two hard drives (one of which has the old C: drive in a partition) I left them connected when I installed Windows 7 on the SSD. (Probably a mistake!) When the PC is running, it is definitely quicker, but there is an inordinate pre-boot wait time of 76 seconds whilst the PC decides it cannot detect SATAII 4. The start-up screen looks like this:

AMI BIOS (C) 2006 American Megatrends, Inc.
X58 850 Deluxe BIOS P1.00
CPU : Intel (R) Core (TM) i7 CPU 950 @ 3.07GHz
Speed : 3.06 GHz
Press F2 to run Setup
Press F11 for Boot Me
Dual-Channel Memory Mode
4095MB OK
Auto-Detecting SATAII 2 ... IDE Hard Disk
Auto-Detecting SATAII 3 ... ATAPI CDROM
Auto-Detecting SATAII 4 ... Not Detected (Stops here for 76 secs+)
Auto-Detecting SATAII 5 ... IDE Hard Disk
Auto-Detecting SATAII 6 ... IDE Hard Disk
SATA Port1 Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB EMT01B6Q
S.M.A.R.T. Capable and Status OK
SATA Port2 ASUS DRW-24F1ST a 1.00
SATA Port4 SAMSUNG HD103SJ 1AJ100E4
S.M.A.R.T. Capable and Status OK
SATA Port5 SAMSUNG HD103SJ 1AJ100E4
S.M.A.R.T. Capable and Status OK

Is there anyway I can bypass the Not Detected SATAII 4 - or at least reduce the wait time?

Thanks

Hey there, Tallboyrip.

If it's not too much of a hassle for you, you could try backing up that drive's data and reformatting it. You could also try it with different SATA ports and cables, to see if the same thing happens. I'd also recommend that you check it with an HDD diagnostics tool, just to be on the safe side. Some other options would be to update or reset the BIOS, to see if the issue persists after that.

Please let me know how everything goes.
