Auto detecting pri master hard disk process takes long time

Hey! I use my new motherboard. When i turn on y computer the Auto detecting pri master hard disk process takes long time. About 20 seconds. My sister have the same motherboard. But for she it takes only 0.5 second. Here is some information about my computer:

Motherboard:4CoreDual-SATA2
VIA
PT880 Pro Chipset

OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional service pack 3

CPU: Intel Pentinum E5200 @ 2.50 GHz , 2,49 GHz
Wolfdale 45nm Technology

Ram: 2.0GM Kingston Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 199 MHz 3-3-3-9

Graphics: Plug and Play Monitor on ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series 1024MB (Gigabyte)

Hard drive: 122GB Maxtor 6Y120L0

Optical Drives: HL-DT ST DVDRAM GSA-4163B , ATAPI DVD-ROM 16XMax

Audio: Realtek High Definition Audio

go into bios and under the boot tab, set quick boot to "yes" or "on"...

I have no boot tab 😛

then find the "quick boot" option somewhere else. maybe you need to update mobo bios

or maybe she only has sata drives and you have IDE devices
