Question Auto Overclock not showing on Ryzen Master ?

Hello, I have:

MBD: Gigabyte A620M S2H v1.0
CPU: Ryzen 5 7500F
GPU: RTX 4060.
RAM: 16GB Crucial DDR5 4800Mhz

I want to overclock my cpu because i read that it can reach almost the performance of a 7600X and i play
CPU-intensive games.

I have a problem where Ryzen Master doesn't show the auto overclocking section, and in the BIOS it doesn't show the power boost overdrive option in the AMD overclocking section. Anyone know why?

Hey there,

Your mobo does not support PBO. It does support Precision boost. Is this what you mean by auto OC? The clockspeeds reached also depend on cooling, temperature, load.

Can you show screenshots of the bios main menu?

What i mean by auto OC is that i cant see this section on my Ryzen Master app that I can see in others in yt.

It looks as if the mobo model is preventing those options being available.

Set Core performance boost to manual, if that options is available, and show any sub options if there are any.

use PBO to boost itself, and use Curve Optimizer and an undervolt

As stated above your motherboard does not support overclocking .
So cooling and Curve optimizer is your friend.
My 5600x did not overclock at all and be stable.
After running CO she now hits 4.5 to 4.6ghz all core boost at lower voltages and lower temps.
The stock cooler will only cool so well.
A cheap tower cooler will allow 300-400mhz extra boost from lower temperatures.
But ask before buying.

it says auto 100mhz and there is a dropdown box with values that range from 100mhz to 119mhz

Do not change that setting.
It is FSB speed ,but it is also connected to PCIE speed .

In ryzen master click on Curve optimizer.
Click on all cores.
Click Start Optimizing.
Then wait for it to run its tests. Takes a few hours.
Once it is done ,write down the stated value.
Now go into bios under AMD overclocking section and input the stated value and save and exit.
Boot to windows and run Core Cycler to test for stability.
If cores fail, reboot to bios and change CC value to 1 less than before and retest.

As has been stated before, your motherboard does not support OC. Upgrade to a B650 board as a minimum. There are nearly always deals around for this chipset based boards if budget is a thing for you. I suggest doing some research in the market & I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. As an example I know here in Australia, there is a B650 board for $4 more than an A620 board - both MSI.

Hi. The problem could be that the Ryzen 5 7500F processor is locked for overclocking, like other models with the “F” suffix. That's why you don't see the auto overclocking option in Ryzen Master and Power Boost Overdrive in the BIOS. These processors are designed to run without overclocking, unlike open multiplier models like the 7600X.
Unfortunately, you probably won't be able to overclock it, but you can try to optimize your system by improving cooling and adjusting the power saving mode to get the best performance in gaming.
