avermedia monitor problems

so i have an avermedia live gamer hd, and its hook up with my xbox and works fine with my asus monitor. I just got an Acer gn246hl (144hz) and it wont connect. On the capture card it works fine, but when i switch to hdmi the avermedia disconnects and the acer goes back to pc.

Could you please pass on your full systems specs inclusive of your OS? In the mean time have a read through this thread and this reddit thread and lastly this post on OCN.
