AW9D Max + Memory question............

it should work OK but you may have trouble getting it to run at it's specified 1066.
really depends upon your future upgrade plans as to whether you're better with that or some DDR2 800 (given that a lot of that will overclock to DDR2 1000 or more)

The Aw9D has an 800/1066 FSB rating which means that it is capable of using the 1066 memory. However, like the AB9 PRO some things will probably need to come into play.

Abit is notorius for undervolting the ram settings in the BIOS. You'll need to get the voltage specs for that ram (2.3v) and make certain that it is set that way.

The default Factory FSB is probably 800mhz (or 667mhz) so you will need to do a bit of overclocking to get the FSB up.

Other than that, I am certain it will do fine.

they don't undervolt they set the JEDEC spec. 1.8V - technically it's the RAM that needs more that is at fault as it doesn't comply to the standard. 😉
