Well you don't need a driver for when it first turns on and even then most of the time you still don't need a driver. It can use a built in driver that gives the video card limited options. Sometimes if there is an Add-in card it will disable the onboard video but I'm not sure about those older ones. Try removing any add-in video cards and then use the onboard.
