Since I had to change from VGA to HDMI due to a new graphics card, the quality of the display is much worse. Every thing looks worse and the colours just look awful compared to VGA which seems odd. It is hurting my eyes to look at my screen currently.

Monitor:
LG Flatron M2262DP FullHD Monitor TV

-AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor
-Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM

-Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory

You took a screenshot of your monitor. You didn't take a picture of how the image looked on your monitor.

Try this: https://pcmonitors.info/articles/correcting-hdmi-colour-on-nvidia-and-amd-gpus/
Specifically:
Nvidia solutions
First solution: functionality now built into the Nvidia display driver
As of driver version 347.09, Nvidia have added a small drop-down to the Nvidia Control Panel (NCP) that will allow you to enforce the correct ‘Full Range’ signal. Simply open NCP and navigate to ‘Display – Change resolution’. You should see a drop down box labelled ‘Output dynamic range’. At time of writing this is the final drop-down box on the page, under ‘Apply the following settings’ as shown below.

Just realised that, have updated the links now.

Just tried this, did not help sadly 🙁

I had the same problem and tried the fix sniper gave. It worked on my 970m but not on my 675m. I ended up trying a different hdmi cable and that worked for some reason. Can you try that?
