I think I might be underpowering the motherboard. Just bought the MB and CPU waiting on a Cougar GX800. I plugged in my Corsair CS650M and I can't get to any loading screens. Should there be a problem with this setup? Using 2 Kingston 16G DDR4. Tried with and without my GTX750TI video card.

That old PSU should be more than enough for that setup. Most probable problem, BIOS not updated to a version that supports 2nd gen Ryzen.

You need to update the bios or need to get hold of a x470/b450 board

It fired up when I switched the ram slots, colour coding is hard to see at night. But I did not have any HDD'S connected. Connected them and black screen, disconnected and black screen... I have not updated the bios, my old cpu's are all AM3/AM3+ and this mb does not appear to support q-flash+.

My guess is that the motherboard BIOS isn't up to date so you can't use that CPU until it's done.

Take it to the place of purchase and ask them to update the bios
