Hello,

I have ordered a B250 mining expert and a 1000w psu, I already have a 750w psu.

From the psu you plug directly the GPU, some GTX 1080 TI, but you also have to plus the mobo.

So my question is, how much the slots for the GPU on the mobo itselves consums in comparison to the GPU itselves?

For example these cards consums 200w while mining but I guess it's electricity drain comes from the psu to GPU and not from the psu to mobo? So what's really needed in terms of power for the mobo?

Solution
This is really basic stuff, that you should be able to research easily if you are going to spend 3-4K on 'some 1080ti's'.

If you were to google "how do GPUs get power" you'll get an interesting discussion as the first response.

The PCI-E slots can provide about 75W, the remainder comes from the PSU supply to the GPU.
