Hi all,
Despite what i do in the BIOS, whenever i attempt a new core clock on my 1800x like 40 for example when the pc boots it says it is just on a 38.5 core clock.
Im very confused - I have uninstalled AMD Ryzen Master as i know there are some issues with it.
Any ideas?
Thanks all

Solution

Evidently the bios is not working right, as it would save your OC. Bios update is the way to go. Then work back from there is that doesn't fix it.

I am running T-Force Nighthawk RGB 2x 8Gb RAM at 2800Mhz
Im not too keen on the idea of updating my BIOS as im currently happy its even working - it is version: American Megatrends Inc. 3803, 22/01/2018

is that common with a new board? I should have mentioned i built this new yesterday

Not for the CMOS battery to be wasted, already. No.

Certainly it may not have the most up to date bios though.
