Hello all, I have been reading for hours online about this and have found no solution.

I am trying to upgrade my CPU from a 5 2400G in preparation for Win 11.
I first tried a 5 5500 and when looking online many people had problems with it, so I returned it and now have the 5 5600.

When I first started this update it had BIOS F66 and I have since updated it to F67d.

I have just moved windows to a new SSD but the 5 5500 would not work on it before moving.

It posts and boots fine on the 5 2400; if I change to the 5 5600 it won’t post but has the VGA LED on. When I swap back to the 5 2400 it posts and says the BIOS has been reset. I then change it from legacy to UEFI and all is bootable again.

Thanks for any assistance
Calvin

Wow Thank you I can't believe I missed that when purchasing them.
or that it did not turn up in all my searching.
I see now there is a 5 5600g
Give me a slap 😡

the best way to remember is if its has a "G" it has onboard graphics. , and take it that all others dont and need a graphics card. and you cant go wrong.. . though some newer cpus have graphics built in,.
5600 has 3 vairents.. 5600, 5600g and 5600x
