Hi,

Im about to build a NAS that looks like this :

The problem is that the B560 motherboard is hosting a Realtek NIC and from what read this might be a problem with some NAS software. I have found 2 B560 motherboards that do host Intel NIC but they cost 2000 EUR instead of 1000 EUR. A Intel NIC 2.5 Gbits cost about 1000 EUR.

Is there a better solution or should I just pay up?

Is getting an expansion card out of the question?

That would be okay but a expansion card by Intel that can handle 2.5 Gbit/s is about 100 EUR here so as much as the mother board cost and the total cost will then end up at about 200 EUR and this is where the motherboards that got Intel NIC from start cost.

The Asrock B560m Pro4 has Intel lan. What is the cost there, for you? It is a budget board, in the US.

Thanks but its not 2.5 Gbit/s :/
