I have decided between the two motherboards : gigabyte ga p75 d3 and the ga b85m d3h ... now , i will buy i3 as i am on a budget and gonna buy the radeon 7770 or similar ... so , my question is that is the b85 worth going for because then i will get the i3 4130 else for the b75 i will get the i3 3220 ... the difference in price is quite between the two boards from where i will buy ... i will play games like bf4 , grid 2 , dirt 3 etc at 1600x900 ... also the b85 board seems to have two heatsinks whereas the b75 one has one .. is that too much of an advantage ??? I have the cooler master k380 cabinet ...

And also if i am gonna multitask quite abit like listening music , browsing the internet with many tabs ... or perhaps listening to music and playing games like bf4 or dirt 3 then will 4gb ram suffice ??? Or i need more ram ???

both will perform the same, it's just the added features that may benefit you; i.e.;

Crossifre, though not really wanted as it runs in X4 black (meaning 2nd GPU mode speed)

4x The SATA 6GB/s ports compared to the B75, you get 4 compared to 1. So if you want more then one HDD, or an SSD, you defiantly want the B85.

That is just some reasons to list.

Ok and can you tell me if the processor is good for a home pc ?? And gaming ?? I have seen vids on youtube where the i3 with a decent gpu gives good framerates ... because i5 is out of budget and if i go wid fx 6300 then i'll be missing out on a good motherboard ... the closest motherboard i found was the gigabyte ga970a ds3p but it seems to have problems ... and can you please tell me some applications where fx 6300 beats the i3 and vice versa ??? I'msorryi'm asking too many questions at a go ...

the i3 is good enough for gaming to extent and home use, if you want to max out everything and do demanding tasks and multitask, suggest getting an i5. Apart from that, the i3 is all you need. FX will beat the i3 when more threads and more cores are needed, I prefer intel though, the i3 will beat the FX in gaming when you don't need over two cores.

Can u list some apps which use more cores and threads i.e. where the fx beats the i3 ???i basically have two options in hand -- i3 + radeon 7770 or fx /i5 + 6570 ... i have seen i3 run bf4 in non-multiplayer ...

Can a fx 6300 overclocked @5ghz beat the i5 4570 (stock) at gaming and other performance ?? Also , if I overclock the fx to 5ghz then do i need a cpu cooler ??? And @ what speed can I do without a cooler and at that speed can it beat the i5 ???

Ok , i am on a very tight budget ... here's what i can do ...i canbuy an i5/fx with a radeon 6450 or i can buy a i3 with radeon 7730 ... which would be a better choice ??? Considering the fact that it will be a gaming pc along with a general home pc i.e. no strsss testing , no benchmarking etc ... also how much fps difference will be there in say bf4 for a fx vs i3 for the same gpu ???

no matter the overclock on the FX 6300, the i5 4570 will always be better.

1) Ok and how about the cpu/gpu combo i posted above ??? Which would give me better fps ??? Specially in games like watchdogs ??? If I take the fx , i'll probably overclock it ... However , I can also go for the fx 4300 with a rad 7730 ... Which would be the best ???

2) Incase I go with the fx 4300 will it suffice for day to day work without overclocking ??? And upto how much speed can I safely overclock it without requiring an aftermarket cooler ???

a 7770 with i5 4570 is a a great setup, in gaming currently no AMD CPU will beat it, even the 8350 or those 5Ghz 9570's (think that is the name). With the 4570, any LGA 1150 motherboard will take 100% performance advantage, as a motherboard doesn't effect performance, just multiple GPU support/OC (which the 4570 can't do much) and other features like SATA and USB 2/3, all of which are on the lower end boards except limited to a degree. (most lower end boards don't have multi-GPU support and little to no OC)

The FX 4300 will suffice, though it is a very weak CPU, with OC, I wouldn't go above 4GHz on stock cooler, even that may be too much.

No no no ... I meant fx4300/i3 4130 with 7730 or a fx6300/i5 with a 6450 ... I am mainly concerned about games like bf4 or watchdogs ... So , what will be the fps differences between the two setups and hence which will be the one to go with ??

I see, get the i5 with 6450, if you go for those other CPU's with the 7730, that will be worse off in the long run. If you eventually need a better GPU, then you have the ability to as your CPU wouldn't need an upgrade as it will be beneficial for a long time.

FPS, always varies due to game/resolution/setup/overclock ect...

Actually I will be using the gpu for a year and sell it , i.e. I will be gaming for 1 more year ... So , keeping that in mind which would be best combo ???

And if I go with amd then will I have to change my cooler and heatsink for 4 to 5 years even if I don't OC ??
